"An Enduring Peace Built on Freedom" with John McCain.

In the first week of his official presidential campaign, Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain paid a visit to the Hoover Institution at Stanford University to talk about America's suffering international image, his proposal for a "League of Democracies" and his support for pressing on with additional troops in Iraq. -- Hoover Institution

  • Pardon me, but we do not live in a society governed by an arbiter. We live in a society governed by men ruled by public opinion. If that's the shits for you, well, to take a play from the conservatives' book, get the hell out.

Moreover: if realpolitik were the guiding principle for American foreign policy, I hardly think that the War on Terror would be conducted in even the remotest sense today.

As far as "morality": Shut the Living Fuck Up you Pompous Goon.

  • What a bunch of bs. McCain won't even employ half of what he talks about in this speech except more war, a bigger military-industrial complex, more military spending, and 100 years in Iraq. He's not gonna give us real diplomacy or work with the rest of the world. He's just like Bush. This is the guy who actually admitted there are gonna be other wars, no doubt about it.

  • ObamaObama

  • obama is a black sheep

  • Mindless anti-americanism? My anti-americanism isnt mindless. Actually I spend a lot of mind on my anti-americanism. :)

Kidding aside. McCain allways talks about what he wants the world to look like. But he never talks about how he will make the world become that way.

Thats like the beauty queen: "I want peace for the whole world!"

Fine, but how... thats the question, moron.

  • Let's see-- McBush was the one who waltzed thru Baghdad with no less than a full company of Marines as security, then glibly told the media that it was "safe for anyone" to walk thru... he stated it was "common knowledge" that (Shia) Iran was training (Sunni) Al Quaeda extremists... and he compares occupying that hostile Muslim territory "for 100 years if necessary" with the invited, collateral cold war defense of Japan, Korea, and NATO Europe.... and he says OBAMA's not ready to lead????

  • They are all NEO-Cons taking away our liberties, and heading toward, fascism/communism combined...this is the recipe for US

  • It's as simple as looking at the records of McCain's policy advisors... upon doing 15 minutes of backgroud checking I am horrified by the portfolio os his advisory team! These are the same people who are responsible for the USA's public wars (Iraq) and private wars (all of South America and Africa). His advisors are responsible for the US foreign policy of the past 30 years, so don't expect any changes, only different packaging.

  • What does Obama have over McCain in foreign experience? he hasnt been to Iraq since 2006(presurge) obama has been in the senate since 2004 two years of which have been running for president, McCain has been a senator since 1987. McCain was offered an Admiralship but turned it down. I think obama is better at campaigning and really good with scripted speaches, talking about change, but thats all it seems to be, talk. Elected to the senate for change, YET he is running for president instead

  • Peace through power!!

    Vote McCain 08

  • Just a little thing for you. The United States does NOT, repeat NOT negotiate with terrorists. Sure let's have Obama's pussy way-hand our country over in a plastic bag that says peace, don't do anything to us.

Obama has said he would have UNCONDITIONAL talks with Venezuela, Raul Castro of Cuba, Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran and Syria!! What is wrong with that man?!

YOU DON'T NEGOTIATE WITH COUNTRIES THAT SUPPORT TERRORISM OR ARE TERRORISTS THAT KILL OUR SOLDIERS!!!
