The conflict in Sudan's Darfur region began in 2003 and has left 300,000 people dead, according to United Nations estimates. Some 250,000 refugees from the fighting have made their way across Sudan's western border into the neighboring country of Chad, where they are housed in 12 refugee camps. Freelance journalist David Axe traveled to eastern Chad earlier this summer, where he visited one of these camps. He spoke to aid workers and refugees about the day-to-day operations and long-term sustainability of the facility.

  • yeah thats right dick head we are so caring lets all keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

    knob

  • but they are independent :s

the problem is they have been driven out of sudan by murdering bandits and have been forced into chad which hasnt the resources to sustain them.

why does america not go to sudan and blow the shit out of the people who caused this instead of trying to ram their rancid culture down the throats of the comparitively peaceful(at least til we got there) iraqis?

  • They surely have a lot to teach us foolish greedy Americans.

    Tam:)

  • If I were US president and had 700b to just steal from the American ppl, I'd charter a couple planes and bring them here to America!

  • independence needs to just be granted to these poor people! leave them be!

    this just isn't right!

  • I hate that this is all happening. but I believe that most of our nations problems come from us (americans) caring too much about other countries problems and not enough about our own. but in return, these problems we care about could become a international issue if we don't care. so... what are we all to do? I hope things get better for them.

  • i hope one day they gain indipendance from sudan

  • when will people like you wake up.

god isnt goin to do anything, only you can

  • i want help for these ppl to,may allah help them, they are my brother and sister.

  • u know worse things are happing in ogaden region done by the ethiopa regime who the u.s.a. are supporing.which the regime troops raping innocent women and killing and buring villages and using usaid food as weapon against the ppl of ogaden. i wonder why the u.s.a. are seeing this case any differnt.
