when the front spun, the rear wheel on the ramp lost drive torque. Ever climb a ramp with non-drive wheels? You'll more than likely push those ramps forward compared to a drive wheel. My car sits on coilovers and I can't fit 2 ramps on opposite corners, so I used the drop on the side of the sloped driveway.
When the front wheel didn't spin, the rear wheel on the ramp had torque applied to it. When that front spun, the rear lost torque. DCCD is locked in the demo.
We have a '00 Outback 5spd with factory VLSD center, but open rear. I have a spare 4.111 rear diff, but it's an open diff. There are a few people locally who I can get in contact with who has the right setup, VLSD rear, open rear, STi's....welded rear diff of an Impreza w/ SVX swap & Outback VLSD tranny, WRX with std VLSD rear, etc.
One of the vids I have "AWD for nothing" is a worm out center VLSD diff and open f/r diffs. Car was on coilover sleeves so suspension travel was limited.
Okay, now get some better ramps and try it for real
This didn't accomplish jack shit, and doesn't deserve to be titled "DCCD tee-tered"
I'd really like to see the Helical Front and DCCD try this.
I want to see this so did it again please. I'll bet if the ramps didn't move and you didn't stall it out it would make it.
Let's just say wheel spin was a factor in this failure. lol

let me finish installing my next setup and get the car tuned, I'll make a better video with a better camera. My cell phone sucks.

Do you have an Outback or Forrester VLSD rear to test?
How about access to a 5spd AWD car with the VLSD center diff?
