mine does the same thing. i just call his name and wake him up usually then hes okay and goes right back to sleep.

Another blk. lab here as well Maggie...I get VERY concerned sometimes...I'll go wake her up...she shakes and jerks....sometimes her paws move back and forth...she'll pull her upper lip up....it's cute, but I have fears sometimes, what if she were having a "stroke" or something.

My rotti mix w/ a golden retriver does that & so does my black labrador retirever i always wake them up cuz i get scared lol. My rotti has CRAZY nightmares she will be like barking and shaking that i HAVE to wake her up lol

My brown lab does this and all sorts of crazy stuff when he sleeps on the couch next to me wile i play x box late at nite, some times i catch him with his tounge half way out of his mouth and acting like he is running he is a nut.

Both my labs do this! I always just assume they are dreaming about running around and playing... or chasing a kitty cat... or begging for treats in their sleep!
