@jum1801 "The West is doomed if we abandon both the primacy of the individual and the exercise of reason."
Firstly, whatever happened to democracy, and seccondly if it is reason you want, then by what reason should foxhunting be allowed?
If you are complaining about one imposing morals on another, then why ban drugs, or incest, or paedophilia? what about cock fighting, badger baiting or dogfighting?
Under scrutiny your arguments are at best hypocritical and at worst simply wrong.

@sherbert500 Sounds like you are just a retard who needs to invest in some decent fencing. Vile person.

@jum1801 If foxes were the size of lions, I wonder if people would be singing a different tune? Yet because it's small, it's presumably helpless.

@jum1801 I used to be all for animal rights activists and the like. But then I discovered that there's more crazies in it, then I care for. It's all, "I feel and think this way, so everyone in the world should do the same." Yes, let's all do away with free will shall we? While I don't fully agree with fox hunting, I understand that it's cultural. None of this imagine you're the fox nonsense. These are the same people who go on nature documentaries and cry about how cruel nature is.

@robtubeism Wow, a death threat! So The Nannys opinions trump not only our right to be left alone; not just our right to free speech; but even our right to live if we disagree.
Remember the tv ads where folks who wouldn't say that global warming was all man-made were killed? Nannys think like that. One day they'll assert a right to kill those who dispute them. And we've put them in power because we wanted to be taken care of more than we loved liberty. For shame - we sold our freedom cheap.

@jum1801 "right to impose their will on others." what about the fox, does it have the choice not to have your will on it? you fucking scum, try and hunt me and i will destroy you

i'd rather hunt a fox with hounts than shoot one, with hunting the healthy one's get away, yet the older/poorly ones dont. if a fox gets away its taken NO harm. I shot a fox last week because it broke in and killed all 32 of my nana's hens and taken one (the only hobby she has), when i shot it, i first got it in the pelvis by accident, and i lost it bt i found it 3 days later ALIVE behind a wall unable to move without pain. i shot it again after goin home to get my gun. it suffered for 3 days.

@mtkitching well thats the things the city folk know nothing about because the antis only want there side put across.....lost my chickens to a fox a few weeks back and if i see him again hes getting a bullet through the head...dirty mangy bastard

@jum1801 i totally agree but some of us townies still like to hunt ......30 years more or less for me and im not stopping for anyone .even tony blair has admitted the hunting ban was the worst political decision that was ever made....perhaps now cameron will see sense and put a stop to this stupid act .even the police dont know how to enforce it because the law is that vague on what you can and cant do lol
It is telling that so many antis come from the cities. They seem to equate life there as a mark of spiritual purity. Amazing.
They seem oblivious of how they appear to others: that they see themselves as morally superior beings, who think their purity grants them the moral...even legal...right to impose their will on others. They see nothing objectionable about such an attitude. Ye gods.
If you lost the arrogance, maybe you'd win some friends. Until then, don't try to tell us how to live.

"Moneyed hunts people". Heh. Never been on a hunt or a horse in my life.
"Bastard". Well....
I oppose the antis first because they are an example of the nanny state, which they love. They believe gov't should handle every problem in life. Don't like hunting? Get Big Bro involved!
And I object secondly because they come to their position against hunting through emotion...and are proud of it.
The West is doomed if we abandon both the primacy of the individual and the exercise of reason.
