It's funny how Federer fans are so insecure they need to leave comments like, "Fed is the greatest, Nadal has nothing on Federer." Yes I agree Federer is currently the greatest player ever, and no one is close to overtaking that title. But this lack of respect for Nadal is uncalled for. He DOES have something on Roger. Nadal leads the series 18 - 9, a substantial differential. And think how many finals Nadal took out of Roger's grasp. Nadal has been the only one to really limit Roger.

Federer has the greatest technique in every aspect of the game. He is as classical as a player can get.

@Sundin456 Nadal's technique is better than Federer? You really did not say that did you? :) The greatest players of all time swear by Roger's technique, finesse, footwork etc. etc. etc. Come on. It's not Roger's fault that he managed to reach so many clay finals to give Nadal an exaggerated record. It speaks volumes that Roger has great technique on Clay (too), he just kept running into the clay machine. If you take out clay wins from either side, they are even.

@Sundin456 and he was known to be the greatest long before Sampras's record; if you don't think that's true; then you should watch back at all those grand slams and his records before that. s he's surpassing sampras's record just made him undoubtedly, set in stone; the greatest player. he's been out there for yrs and yrs now; people should realize he's playing tennis cos he loves it; maybe not necessarily anymore to win all the time [although that would be awesome =D.]

@Sundin456 i really think this is all subjective. it's true that nadal is strong and is leading the head-to-head, but the brute force in his technique i assure you won't last as long as roger's finesse. Nadal is a really good player; but ppl have to remember that the way Roger plays got him to be the only person to have ever been no1 for 4 yrs. it's understandable if he feels that he shouldn't have to change the way he he plays; he's already defeated so many.

@Capell18 Yeah ok thats like saying a person who's rank was in the 100's would be the greatest cuz the way he acts. r u fucked? Why was wayne gretzky the greatest hockey player? He has the records for most goals assists etc. Same deal with Federer. No one ever called him the greatest til he beat Sampras's record. And Nadal's technique is better then Federer's therefore if it weren't he wouldn't have a dominating 17-8 head to head record :)

@Sundin456 Who said Federer is the best because of his grand slams? He is the greatest because of everything, perfect technic, perfect career, and of course, a PERFECT person. That's why everyone adore him. Watching him crying winning a grand slam / master 1000 is priceless. The emotions he has give feelings to everyone. It's glad to see that person do this because LOVE it, and that love made him be the best. I'm spanish, and hate Nadal. Hate his technic and hate his personality... Greetings ;)
