It's because Alan Wake is told episodically, and the reason for the end can be explained in the quote at the beginning of the game by Steven King, something about a good murder story having no explanation. And I'm sure after the dlc you'll still be confused, it's not going to be a game that just blatantly ends, the developers wanted you to think.
Regardless, I'm looking forward to the dlc, ad i look forward to future releases, because i wont have a problem buying those either.
Good vid, BTW.

@poiuytrewq95 You can get the DLC, it won't be exclusively from the card, as to whether or not the Alan Wake copies will contain a DLC card has yet to be seen.

@tadboy3 Xenodyne: I picked up the game recently as well. It really does depend on your preference for games. It's a very open world that's pretty immersive. For me it isn't a game you play all at once, it's something that you can complete at your own pace. Joe and Foe really loved the game, and I do like the main character as a person, he's not the stereotypical rockstar character.
Um, I finished Alan Wake without DLC.
Consider Shenanigans called, sirs.

@justinmacintyre Unless something has been patched into the game to change it, you finished it with the cliffhanger ending (which I won't spoil here), and the text "The journey of Alan Wake is not yet complete" in the credits. Yes, you get a card for DLC, but it's still DLC. Also, you'll need to buy any more DLC, which makes me believe that although you get the first taste of it free, to finish the rest of the story will end up costing you a bit more.

@devrante --- Xenodyne: Sorry the review is taking so long. We're waiting for a key piece of equipment that will allow us to record gameplay so we can spotlight certain things.
Anyways, if you like Survival Horror games, then I'd definitely recommend Alan Wake. I'm not 100% sure as to the status of the DLC, nor how much there will be before they just release a straight up sequel.
I would actually recommend just renting it through a service such as Gamefly, or visiting a place that rents games.

red dead is amazing, fuck off zeldas the shit lol, and how the hell is the map pack for mw2 a waste. although it is unneccesary it kind of makes people play longer cuz after a while the maps get boring.

@MrKURTISKURT Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to the next Zelda, I just wish it was a little more challenging. The map pack seemed like a rip-off to me because it was so expensive. $15 for five maps? The last Borderlands DLC was $10 and included a level cap raise and tons of new missions. By comparison, MW2 seems to be asking too much.
