It is really interesting how the eaglets sleep on their sides. Numero Uno is sleeping with her/his right wing unfurled, Eaglet 2 is on his/her back soaking up the sunshine. I think this is indigenous to the species, right?

Another poop shot on the camera, but we can still see the little ones. Don't you just wish you could see one of the parents flying from the sky into the nest! Hard landings lately. Looks like they had steak for breakfast instead of sushi, I can't make out what Mom or Pop plopped down, road kill maybe. The first thing I do in the morning after my morning java fix, I turn on the computer and watch. Can't get away.

I was watching this again tonight when I noticed... that's hail pelting down, not rain! Once again, I am in awe and humbled by these noble creatures... For the past months, I have slowly become native American in that I call the animals my little brothers and sisters... greeting them as I pass by on my walk to work. Discovering your site has been a phenomenal experience and one which cements my dedication more than ever to taking care of every living thing.

@lucycatism Your comments also inspired me to make a donation. Although I did so using my real name and paypal. :) Those little ones sure can squirt poop like a water gun. Even looking at their daily activities makes me appreciative of my own digestive system. Sometimes I am reminded that I too, should take care of myself and appreciate every part of my body that does a job really well.

@989razzle Oh good grief, bad me. I saw the three chicks after I posted the alarm this morning. Guess I'd better eat some crow myself and zip it. Thanks.

Oh my gosh, they got the "moving" cam back in action, and there is just a shot of one of the parents out on a limb, I haven't seen this before on the web cam. Just awesome, glad the cam working again.

@lucycatism Bob Anderson does a great job moving the cam. It really adds to the experience.

Now I know how "eagle eyed" came into our vernacular. Mom is sitting next to her chicks but she doesn't miss a trick! I see that the babies are being left alone more often, but I am sure Mom and Dad are close bye. E-3 is getting his/her feathers. Such a wonderful sight. Thanks for posting

@lucycatism Sometimes when the camera pans, one of the eagles sits on a branch to the left of the nest. And I think there is another big tree close by where they can keep watch as well. Thanks for the comment lucycat.
