  • I ran into Danny's father back in '78 when worked at at furniture store in McAllen,Tx. He was wearing a pin on his jacket that asked who is Toby Beau, so I asked and he told me who they were. It's great when a group of guys from The Valley can make in the music business. I'm originally from Mission,Tx. which is right next to Mcallen. Now retired in Orlando,Fl.

  • It's not a great song, & it doesn't always have to be a great song. It's just one hell of a cool ass tune. I likes it!!!

  • this is great music. kasey kasem. keep ur feet on the ground but keep reaching for the stars. i wish they still made music like this.

  • @MegaMazemaster Yes mid August 1978 - Name of a Shrimp Boat (according to Kasey Kasum)

  • great song, sweet memories of childhood...

  • Played with Danny and Balde a few years before they formed Toby Beau. A.I.R. (Atomic Icecream Revolution) released a record that made the Top 40 in The Valley where we were all from. Obviously, they went on to bigger and better musical success. Fred

  • it was in the summer in Hartford Michigan was a migrate worker in the fields picking strawberries when this song hit # 13 on the top 40s with Kayce kaysum or however you spell it. We were all from the Valley working hard a family from Brownsville had a portiable raido and we stood up and yelled that band Toby Beau was from the valley. Most people around us were from other states did not think anything of it ,but we were all so proud. Us more so cause we were from Donna Dannys home town .

  • TB hit #13 in Billboard, 8-12-78. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!
