@ronniespraggs Actually, he did: The Mills Brothers back in the early 60s before the Civil Rights Act. You can find it here on youtube. That showed courage and liberality of spirit. And yes there are fewer fascists in Germany than in America now. Your wingnut right is pretty frightening. This from an Englishman whose father was bombed by the Germans and great grandfathers fought in the trenches in WWI.

I know! Germany is an amazingly civilized and peaceable place these days, with barely a hint of Nazi-ism (Apart from a few juvenile and moronic skinheads) or trace of people like Lawrence Welk anywhere, thank goodness! Go though all the clips of Welk's hundreds of TV programs on here, and see if you can find a hint of a black man or woman... go on... it's about as likely as at a Ku Klux Klan rally. Well... same thing really!

You know... I love this stuff more than any other music... and I still am a Slayer fan... hmmm.... there is nothing better for the soul than LW. It is a shame when people cannot see that.

I was forced to watch the show in the early 70's as a kid and hated it.......now as an adult I love it. go figure.
