For the love of god, why on Earth would Scientologists be against medicine? I often think they are just cynical, money making frauds but... is it possible they actually believe what they preach?

What possible explanation can they have for not believing in medicine?

I try to understand it but I can't.

@Diosibundo They will claim they are not against medicine, and in some areas, they are not. However, L. Ron Hubbard says in "Dianetics" and other written material that by using his "Tech" one can free themselves from physical problems. Thus OFTEN it is expected. MANY people have died, way too young, due to this very "Tech". IF YOU HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION, SEE A DOCTOR THAT IS *NOT* A SCIENTOLOGY DOCTOR, and Follow what he/she says. Your life depends on it. He's such a caring good guy who has gotten into something that he did not truly know about & now it has cost him 1 of the 3 precious things he has so cherished.  Now down to 2 Cherishes.
