@brightonderek Hi Derek, I myself am looking at houses in France. I don't know if you've gathered this - but houses in france are super cheap. £200,000 for a house with 50 acres or so and other good stuff? Keep me informed! It's always good to hear from a fellow expat!

Your home is very beautiful. My wife and I are considering purchasing a home in Southern France later this year. I wonder if you wouldn't mind giving me a rough idea of some of the costs involved above and beyond the purchase price of the home. We are Canadian and we intend to remain in Canada to work but we would use the home in France as a vacation getaway and eventual retirement home.
