In London in the 50's there were signs in boarding house windows saying 'No dogs, blacks or Irish' so I would guess the sentiment of No hippies back in the 60's was certainly prevalent. Its also a song about the right to roam our planet without being shot for trespassing, about modern mores regarding subtle segregation and class barriers and a gentle reminder that if you have yourself and your 'god' then you should be OK whatever the bullshit of the modern world. Its a great protest song.

Yeah true but when the grow site for pot growers are ran by gangs it a danger. Pot grower and shinners don't like it when people stumble on still or grow site. Legal growers don't like if you are walking around their farm due you might snag some for your self and taking money out of their pocket. Now the Legal growers probly wont shoot ya gang that run illegal grow sites would.

That a threat not just treaspassing. Still in most states it takes them at least to be armed with knife before you can shot them, or at least charging at you if they are just using feet and fist against you. In the country you see alot no tresspassing, but they normaly wont just shoot you for walking on their land because you getting lost in not a crime agianst them. The only ones that will shoot you are the Meth lab, pot farms, moonshiners, crazys, etc.
