A girl has an abusive boyfriend who claims to be a Christian but parties, drinks, and acts like everything that a Christian is not. She gives up on faith because if he is a Christian, than she wants no part of it.
A boy has parents that are on the verge of divorce and if they cant love each other than he believes there can be no real love in the world so how could Jesus Christ possibly love him if there is no real love, and therefor gives up on faith.
Even when we give up on faith Christ will never give up on us and will always rescue us in our times of need. Romans 6:20-23
