Xbox 360 E 74

its fixed now, i just called xbox customer support and they fixed it free of charge, i also got a free live month too.

So I just did kind of the towel trick, instead of wrapping it in towels I just blocked the fans from moving, it only took like 10 min to do the double red ring. turned it back on and was working again on the first attempt. My fan was only really loud for about 2 min, after that its back to normal...now to see how long it lasts, and if I can just repeat the method each time it happens.

@mkesslin its only a temporary fix, and if you keep repeating the towel trick it will break it completely after a while.

dude didnt you pay when you shipped it bc this video was posted august 18 and they started extending the warranty on the e74 in april, so did you get your money back?

no i didnt pay because it was in my 1 year warranty, they sent me the labels to stick on the box, and the box i bought.

i probably bought my xbox in july/august/september time 2007.
