It probly depends on what your teacher teaches you first, your online im sure every jiujitsu school in the world is not the same or teaches the same "first move" your probly all correct according to where you learnd.

rytt w/e but im soo sure its backleg sweep is tha first one yhoo learn cos for mah black belt yhoo go over all tha belts and the first throw we did was backleg sweep trust lol =P

Is the first throw just a general Hip throw and the second a half shoulder? I've just done my White Belt grading and am starting my yellow belt syllabus next week. So I havnt done any throws yet properly

Yay! As I said I just did my White belt grading on tuesday but I havnt looked at the yellow belt syllabus yet. What kind of things are on it? I've been told it's mainly throws and one of my friends said the kata is practically a dance, lol.

Syllabus' change between associations so if could be anything. I'm guessing you do Judo as you said about a Kata, Yes they are like a dance. I actually do JuJitsu myself.
