I grew up in Torrance and graduated from THS in 1974. Lived on Arlington & 220th. My best memories are Disk Gym on Satori, Torrance Sports Shop, Sir Michael's Barber. I went to school with John Hartley, whose family owned Foster's Freeze. There was Mary's Color Bar and Lovelady's Hardware and Cory's Liquir Store, owned by Joe Cory - great guy! And Garsh's Auto Parts! (Whaddaya say big boy!) Those were the good old days!! I come home to visit every couple years.
The Post Office, those homes, the medical store, Torrance Bakery, my smoking bench :), the Market, chips and salsa at La Capilla, cigar store, police substation, taking a stroll down Sartori, window-shopping at the costume shop and little second-hand stores... Home Sweet Home :) Thanks. I miss that place so much. Coming back after college.
