If a volt is as expensive or more so than a gas fueled car I would expect it to run as fast or as far as the gas fueled car. Why are we putting 3 billion dollars of taxpayer money, coming to about $250k per car for the tax payers, towards a car that doesn't have enough demand to cover the cost of supply? I thought the government had economists who passed Macro and Micro 101. Guess not. So here's a clue. If Supply is ever > than demand. You don't put more money in to make more of the same thing.

This is almost a non-story. The things that the Left does, is intended to take tax payer money and spead it around. You thought that it was to buy cars??? NO, Lib agenda is to use our money to buy thier failed ideology into the real world, and to pay off thier supporters. I think Volt rebates should be Direct Instant rebates.  Rebates should be towards the vehicle not cash. The Volt would definitely sell better if the car is $37,500.

This is FOX (faux) News people, they are trying to kill the electric car again by making it seem there is no demand for it.....even if it's true, I suppose if you are buying used and are not asking for a lower price you're an IDIOT!!!!

Screw the littel clown cars. Get a full size Impala or similiar car and you can get 30mpg+. If we could run real gasoline and not Gas-O-hol our mileage would rise. A 5mpg drop running 10% ehtanol gas will cost you 50mpg on a 10 gallon fill up. That is an extra 1.7 gallons you have to purchase @$4.00 per gallon. The consumer looses~ we have a hybred car 35 mpg with real gas 30 without. BFD the car dealers and governmetn are ripping us off. My dura-max @ 7,000 lbs gets 18 on the highway~

I'm with Chevrolet Communications. We have not identified a single Chevrolet dealer who is participating in this practice. If any Volt customer feels they have been a victim of this gaming, please contact me. However, there is so much wrong with this story, I don't know where to start. 1) The tax law does not allow the dealers to take the tax credit if they are going to resell it. 2) Volt gets 40 -50 miles on pure electric 3) Day supply of Volt is less than 10 days. Ran out of space....
