  • great video. I wish I had made it to the area you were at. I just went to the 520 causeway in Cocoa. thanks for posting

  • Thanks... this was taken where HWY 50 meets US-1 in Titusville.

  • Funny. 80% of the video was taped either looking at the smoke below the shuttle, at the audience, or at the water. When it was actually pointed at the shuttle, he was zooming out. The cameraman should keep his day job.

  • I know the pilot(Mark Kelly). Had supper with him at his wife's Congressional re-election camp site here in Tucson. Sad to say Lisa Nowak was on his flight....irony. I never grow tired if watching this launch.

    Awesome vid man!!!

  • Was this shot on the Nasa causeway or from Kennedy Space Center?

  • I agree.

  • you know whats really funny...all this technology and we still have people using disposible cameras...and manually forwarding the film...listen to how many of them are used in this video..its just sad! LOL

  • OH MAN! i wish i could have seen that. I was going to see it, but they scrubbed it too many times and i had to leave FL. but it launched they day AFTER i got home!! X( i'm really jealous of ppl who got to see it

  • That was great, but I suggest you get a tripod. That way the footage will look good even when you are clapping your hands.

  • Yeah, a funny thing happened on the way to the moon. Full of pseudo-science, brain-dead illogic and twisted half-facts. Only the most non-scientific morons would refer to this work of pure rubbish.

  • We were a little bit up North from you - across the street from the mall on US1 (Jackson St.) It sucks that they don't allow people to view it from the beach anymore. That would have been a better experience. The sound of the blast took 50 seconds to reach us, so I estimate we were just over 10 miles from the launchpad.

  • you didn't have to zoom when it launched. part of the idea of filming videos like these. is to give us. the viewers. an idea or sense of what you guys saw from that distance.

we can see the shuttle close up on CNN.
