Australian band Rattling Sabres wrote and recorded this song in 1987 long before Pat Benetar had a hit with it. The band featured Kerryn Tolhust from The Dingoes (amongst may other bands) and Robert Price (Strange Idols, Riverina Playboys).

  • I've just posted an audio clip of this song on Youtube. Recorded from the original vinyl 45, it's nice, clean and complete

    youtube.com/watch?v=L6kEo0wzdeE&feature=youtu.be

  • OH&S would have a heart attack at about the 1:09 mark of the clip. No way you could be on the ledge in a clip these days.

Ahhh the good old 80s, when safety would of been a piece of string and a "no worries" attitude (probably minus the string in this case Mr Price)

  • Does anyone know where you can get the full version of this song, i have been searching for MANY years for it and came up with absolutely nothing.

  • @MrBruce515 If you use Firefox there is an add-on available called Video2mp3 which allows mp3 downloads of this Vid.

  • That's John E Lee on drums. He was in The Dingoes too. Great track.

I've searched and searched for the Lost Gems of Australian Rock, and sadly i cannot find it.

  • @robertpricedeldin Hope you still have mp3 version of this classic. Wife likes PB's version, I prefer the origional. Can you?

  • It was a real buzz to find this Aussie gem on YouTube. Used to have a copy off of Video Hits on VHS till it was accidentally scrubbed by a recording of Neibours by another family member lol.

I'll keep a look out for the Aussie Gems album as prev mentioned as I've been looking for this classic for a while now

  • pure gold !!!!!!!!

  • Is the Palisade Hotel ever going to reopen? I was walking past there the other day for the first time in 20 years and I remembered this video.
