I hate to break it to you, because I respect you for the amount of work you put in this project (and it looks very nice), but Meshuggah take it far less seriously as you might think. They have stated that they don't write any of their work out. It's much more based on feel than math. For example, Marten comes up with a few riffs, Tomas comes up with a matching drumbeat (which coincidentally may be polyrhythmic), and they add extra notes if their groove doesn't match within a 8/16/32/64 schedule.

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with you. I've seen as many interviews as you have. I didn't mean to imply that they did all this shit consciously. I doubt that they're even aware of some of the really obscure things I pointed out here. It's true that they just feel this shit out, which makes it all the more amazing. They have incredible intuition! MESHUGGAHHH

To anyone watching this I suggest adding: &fmt=18
to the end of the URL to watch it with better quality. Also this video is great, It would have taken me like a year to understand the drums.
