  • What you are referring to is not rust. The brown colour is part of the Kevlar reinforced fan casing, designed to contain debris and stop it from penetrating the cabin in a blade off event. Some companies paint the inside, others don't - it's not a prerequisite. Those which do normally find the paint peels quickly due to the extreme weathering it receives from the high velocity airflow.

  • best view of the rusty interior of the engine is at 1:30 - oh yeah, that makes me feel real safe. think you'd see that on ANY western airline?

  • Great sound !

Hugs from Brazil - where we've never had Russian planes flying over here

  • @Emoddd Russian planes or Russian jets?

  • @johnandthierry Yeah, you would. Unless you think Western airlines only fly turboprops.

  • @civagiarn Yes and no. it is a normal sound on almost all low-bypass turbofans. on this engine it just sounds a little more pronounced than i have heard in other engines.

  • @frogcassady That's the buzzsaw from the tips of the fans rotating at a highspeed, you get that even on Airbuses, perfectly normal sound.

  • Sounds like F100 ... and much smoother sound than Ilyushin 62

  • долгий разгон
