  • Anna Russell does a side-splitting version, calling it "oh gentle bird with feathered breast'

  • cute!!!!

  • SOunds like swine flu to me!

  • LOL It's so funny when Miss Piggy sings those high notes. XD

  • Actually Sir Henry Rowley Bishop - the first musician ever to receive a knighthood [from Queen Victoria]. The first singer ever to be knighted [also by Victoria] was Sir Charles Santley.

  • This is a misnomer as applied to this tune. 'Arie antiche' are commonly known as 'old Italian Art Songs' dating from c. 1600-1725- with words in Italian, of course. Caccini,Pergolesi,Stradella,Scarlatti, Marcello, Monteverdi are noted composers of these 'arie'(arias-songs).

  • What does aria antica mean? Beacause i have to sing an aria antica for an audition.

  • I'll respond by quoting that well known, politically incorrect phrase---"It's not over until the Fat Lady Sings"!

  • Improve just a little on your breath support, and you'll be a true challenger to the unforgettable Madame Florence Foster Jenkins!

  • Absolutely delightful!
