if you look at the placement of the camera you will notice it is on the right hand side

Camera always on fireman's side. Mike can be under cab by bell or behind number lights, depending on model.

actually the lococam is usually on the engineers side but do to senstive electronics probably got knocked out. the microphone is under the cab

Oncoming train should stop short of fouling the switch so the other train can enter siding. If train goes past the stop signal and fouls the switch, you've got yourself a mess.
