We lost our engine at 500AGL over the Florida Everglades due to faulty electrical wiring. Shot for a golf course on a nearby island but landed short by about a quarter mile. The pilot did a perfect job landing it in the swamp! Walked away unharmed and the gyroplane was recovered with no damage.
isnt that slow flying causing this bleeper?

@truthseekers666 The engine out glide ratio is really steep for any sort of gyroplane. The reason for loosing our engine is stated in the video explanation. However, even with the horrible glide ratio and steep descent, the pilot was able to set it down soft enough that when low tide came, it turned out that the tires were only about 2 inches down into the mud and we were able to get a skiff out and load it onto the skiff to pull it back to shore with no damage to the aircraft. :)
