... grappelli is one of the all time greats. He has influenced and been an essential part of our music for decades. It is no surprise that someone who feted Paris with Django Reinhart before the war ... was still vital enough to play with Pink Floyd ... and a number of others, including an amazing duet with Alvin Lee of Ten Years After ... Cat Dance ... from a rock 'cover' of Peter and the Wolf ... Stephane lives on ... btw ... terrific Pink Floyd

@beartunes The violin sounds like shit here in Youtube. Buy the box set or download it somewhere, you'll hear the difference.

I'm just hearing this for the first time after only recently finding out about it. It's interesting, I like how Roger's bass is different and more reverb on the guitar. The violin? Not as haunting as I had been told by other reviews. If you like that sort of sound, check out no-man, in particular, this track "long day fall": this link 4lxdGbe4GiA

LOL ! wow this is like a double flash back ! for me. My dad used to play Grappelli and my sister used to play Floyd. If i sat in the hall i could hear them both :) x

can I like this twice?
The blues groove he (Grappelli) lays down at about 4+20, dips right into viola territory... and tugs my heart strings big time... I dig it deep!
