Snowy Owls, Ivory Gulls and Sanderlings were the targets on a Lab of Ornithology expedition to collect sound recordings in the Canadian High Arctic. Join Lab staff Gerrit Vyn and Martha Fischer as they trek across barren Bathurst Island recording birds.

Visit the Macaulay Library, and explore the world's largest collection of animal sounds at http://www.macaulaylibrary.org

  • some great inforamtion here thanks

  • love the video man

  • I appreciate your astute observations about the remoteness and vastness up there. LIke any personal/intense experience, it can't be described nearly as well as we'd like...you just have to go there to get it fully. Your stills, video and audio recordings are just excellent. I wish I could have been up there with you both. Really a great job, Gerrit and Martha. Thanks and Happy New Year!
