@7Anubisss It's a beautiful piece certainly, but the first violinist is just concentrating, not welling up.

Grand Music of Grand Man.

Morricone the Master!
-
various of forms of beauty integrated into one piece of music, bringing back memories of the film itself. Nothing gets better than this!

The film is absolute brilliance. Leone made great films, but never with the gravity of this one.
And, when you factor in that you also have arguably Morricone's most emotional score.....wow.
This is as close to a perfect film as you're gonna get.

im italian but i'll say it in english, every time i hear this music and or movie i end up crying with on eye, its poetry, violence, sadness hapiness, what our southamerican cousins call "saudade".
I just cant understand how cinema critics can be so stubborn to give the godfather 5 stars and this move 3. ffs predator and rocky 1 have 3 stars, and the godfather is... ok, but not movie history, as Coppola was always more interested in his career than in art. cinema is not only image, also narration

I first saw this movie back in the early 90's and the one thing that stayed with me was the music. How did Mr. Morricone capture the sadness, the loss of an era, the feelings we imagine Noodles had for Deborah, choosing to go with Max (Noodles, your mother is calling you...), the closing scene with Noodles back in the opium den and this music had such a powerful effect on me.
Bravo!!!!
