Olivia, Carly and Kate~10/15/08

Ok, I have kept on the fence on the issue of Olivia. For the most part I liked her, but her constant screaming had me indecisive. I have officially gone over to the "Like Side" as of today.
I could not really find anything wrong with Olivia to "NOT like her", but now I see alot of reasons "TO" like her. For one I like the fact she is honest, and speaks straight to you. I admire that trait in real life. She is loyal, and caring concerning her family. Kate is a good example of this. Kate walked away from her family and never looked back. She didn't want to be associated with them, as she didn't feel they would be good for the image she wanted to create for herself. Shallow, selfish and hurtful behavior on her part, and Olivia by rights could hold a grudge about this. Instead... its quite obvious she loves her cousin, and has been trying to be there for her since she was shot. That's what you call love and loyalty...to me admirable qualities.
When they were teenagers, when it was obvious that Sonny preferred Kate to her, she stepped back gracefully. She didn't fight her cousin for him, or use her pregnancy to steal him away from Kate. She showed self respect, and chose to not use this. She raised her child on her own, and never once asked Sonny for money or help. After Kate ran away, she could have hit Sonny up then, but she didn't. Her child's saftey was more important to her, so she chose to keep him a secret from his father. I can't really fault her on this account either.
I also like that she seems to have very good insight into people and their motivations. Some may see this as being a know it all, but personally I think her assessments have been right on. So for me...I don't see anything NOT to like about her.
But the icing on the cake today, was she actually made Carly likable to me. LOL. I never thought I would see that day.

Carly and Olivia are so similar is some aspects it's freaky. And why, oh why, is Kate still alive?!?!?! What's the point of her character anymore except the being used for target practice? Is she really supposed to be Sonny's new Emily?? Not that anyone has put it that way, but it seems obvious to me.

LOVE IT!! Olivia and Carly have so much in common!! I was hoping this would be the beginning of a "BFF" friendship but recently it doesn't look like that's going to happen. lol

I love her too... enough with the Holy Carly Trinity (Carly, Claudia, Olivia). It's really only necessary to have one of each character. Couldn't Guza the Luza be happy with Carly.
