This album personifies Cher to me, I always think of her in this setting, with that look from the back cover of "Stars" -laid back and cool, no pretensions. "Just This One Time" is the best song she's ever done.

@Alvin4NY And "These Days". Why doesn't she re-release these; they were goddess albums.

Love this one, I have the cover framed in my home and met her several times, see my videos to see the stories.

@cherstyler WOW . THAT IS VERY AMAZING. BUT THEN WE*RE TALKING ABOUT C H E R . I JUST WISH SHE OR WHOEVER WOULD RELEASE THE "SOLOS" & THE "BAND" DUETS FROM THE S&C COM HR.

so beautiful - what a voice! This is a truly great album. Please release it! Love from you fans in Australia

It was very well put together, and the song was absolutley amazing, but I think you should have featured some other albums like Prisoner or I Paralyze. The Prisoner album especially would have added really nice substance because they did a whole photo shoot for it.

@hardsmith52 so agree with you. her older stuff is incredible. i wish all her stuff was available. the 70's music was amazing from so many great bands. you are so lucky to have been old enuff to enjoy it all.

@oliverjung1 - I know Cher and her peeps are more active on the web now, so maybe all of this talk and interest about the "Stars" album will push her to finally re-release it. Many of the songwriters and players are in the Rock-n-Roll Hall Of Fame, Cher-this album would serve as a reminder to some, of the chick that can sing-from the heart-with all of her life experience on her sleeve, versus the gal from Vegas. The RRHOF is amiss, for not including Cher-Jealous bastards, is all I can say.

@grooverunner - "It's A Mans World" runs a close 2nd....very good album, excellent, in fact.

@hardsmith52 i don't know "cherished", but i can only say that it is totally incomprehensible that the other two have not been re-released. i also like "believe in you" very much - but of course it cannot match the artistic integrity of the album with jimmy webb. i simply love ALL about this album - cher's absolutely outstanding interpretations, the great song choices, the great arrangements by jimmy webb, the musicians, the sound - AND the cover!!!! she is SOOOO beautiful!

Have always loved this album and everything about it - from the photos to the music. I would love to have it on CD.
I am not sure why Warner Bros.Records has never re-released 'Stars', 'I'd Rather Believe in You', or 'Cherished'.......nor why Cher has never demanded it. Some of her best vocal work ever can be found in this trio of albums, 'Stars' being the best. I worked as a roadie on "The Sonny and Cher Divorce Tour" in D.C back in '74....the lady has been my girl since then.......it is unfortunate she hasn't found her way back to the 'southern californian country/rock' that is her home.
