@RobNYNY1957 - That's a ridiculous statement. You could hardly walk through the crowd due to the fact that there were over 10,000 people in attendance. And that number is substantiated. Nice try.

My husband and I (both college educated) were there with our 14 year old and 6 year old. We saw many young people, many children, and yes, many old people.  For all those you see on the video there were so many more, like my family, walking the 3.5 miles to get to the rally. Who cares what color the people are? I saw all races of people there, but more importantly I saw AMERICANS who want to keep our country from becoming a socialist run government. Nothing wrong with that!

@ajgordish - I removed the racially slurred comment of which you responed. Skin color and racism is something the left embraces when they run out of legitimate ideas. They ran out about 50 years ago. Everyone is welcomed with open arms regardless of race or religion. I challenge anyone to provide proof of a single racial slur or a single person turned away because of race or skin color. The racist argument just doesn't stand up. Period.

@judarama Criticize all you like, but if these people are enjoying their benefits like Social Security and Medicare, it's because they have paid into the system throughout their whole working lives. Wouldn't you think they deserve some benefit? They're trying to keep our country free for you and your family.

When the Pope drives about in his bullet proof car, or the faithful dive into a storm cellar, it sure seems to me like he's putting more faith in those man-made protective measures than in god's divine protection or an assured seat in an afterlife.

I don't see how "protecting ourselves" w/ guns is any different than that.

Should we change it from "In god we trust" to "In guns we trust?"

That doens't really address the question of why you would need to protect yourselves from evil in the first place, if you trusted god to begin with.

By which I mean, if you practice what is preached, and "thou shall fear no evil for the lord art with you" then the worst that could happen in "this life" is wakeing up in the "next life".

Atheists protect themselves. I thought you trusted god.

So the "protect ourselves" bit sounds a tad hypocritical.

@EntinludeX Hi Brother, I do trust in God. I know from being on youtube that not everyone trust or believes in him. In this world there is evil, so yes we do need to protect ourselves and others from it. In the next world there will be only peace.

@BrianKShoemake Those are "socialist" programs. You can't pick and choose like a cafeteria when it comes to the socialist programs. To claim one is socialist - health insurance reform - and the others aren't makes you a hypocrite.

Obama is as Socialist as the Republicans were in 1970. This is how skewed our politcs have become - no historical reference, no insight - just parroting Fox news. Do you really believe this is good for our country?

@BrianKShoemake Thank you! I just replied to someone's post that implied we were hypocrites by receiving SS. Truth is, if I had invested privately what the government deducted for SS I would be receiving 3 times what I am now. I had no control over MY SS account and they who did managed it badly. Now they are broke. My God .... anyone else would be broke and out of business. I guess what I am thankful for is that my money manager is allowed to print money.
