After taking $3.6 billion in secret U.S. taxpayer bailout loans, BMW is making a mockery of U.S. plant closing laws by firing its parts distribution workers in Ontario, California and replacing them with outsourced workers the very same day. BMW has hired union-hostile law firm Jackson Lewis to help them do this.
BMW would never treat German workers and communities this way. Watch as these workers fight to save their jobs and America protests BMW greed.

guys is just how it works dont blame bmw for competition thay need another model what mean the model u was need to go off from bmw track is the system, i m sorry for u guys and ur family i se some of u there have marked bmw logo as X like aint good bmw, wasnt u guys working at bmw for 10/15 years ??? did bmw made ur life up to here and now u have no respect for the same bcos the system need to be chenged oh well we must be humans !!

Just because the company sales are improving does not mean that it is run efficiently as possible. Remember BMW goal is to produce 2,000,000 cars so of course profit will be record high every year as try get closer to it goals.
The problem is that the company need to position itself as efficient as possible to make a difference. Also remember that the competition is working on making sure they are efficient as possible also.
It sad that employees are laid off but it happen to all of us in

Look Union are the problem because they only care about membership dues. They make it so impossible to operate a business that it become unprofitable.
I feel for those employees, I bet that BMW would have like to kept good employees if they were not union.

The thing is, BMW is making record profits right now - the most profit it has ever seen in its history. BMW is even claiming it's not doing this to save money. So why are they firing almost 100 people - both union and nonunion, by the way - at a plant that received a gold award for productivity from the company?
