  • In a real streetfight the opponent would'nt know your technique making it hard to resist. In the dojo a stupid uke can try to resist if he knows what technique you're doing but change your technique right away and you'll get him...for example if he tries to resist the Ikkyo (technique in this video) go for Nikyo instead.

  • perfect technique,I´m 14 jears old and I practice it whith a friend. My brother make this same grip and I throw him to the ground, realy fantastic. (My brother is 26 and is a doorman, he weight 110 kg)

  • I would hardly call that a real attack (two hands grabbing wrist) Infact the only people who do that to me are my kids ! Yet another stupid aikido technique based in myth attacks

  • Korean Hapkido was created in 1951 by Choi Yong Sul who studied under Sokaku Takeda who was the master of Daito-ryu Aiki-Jujutsu in Japan.

He created Hapkido mixed Taekundo and Boxing technique with Aiki. So Japanese Aikido and Korean Hapkido have something in common.

Incidentally, Sokaku Takeda is the master of Morihei Ueshiba.

  • yeah i must have miss wrote in different window.

  • It's not Kapkido It's Aikido As it says in the title But I it's my understanding that they are very similar

  • i didnt know they used japanese terminology in hapkido because its korean.

  • bruce lee could fight but he was more of a show man but i think if he had not advertised himself so much they would have maybe let him alone.

his ad was good if he was only a gym owner but it ws probably too much because he also was a movie star.. whoever did what they did , did not like him being in the center attention.

its a BIG shame because bruce lee was a real original martial artist becuase he buildt it based on himself not on his masters . there is almost no otehr martial art like jkd.

  • yeah Bruce Lee was a strong advocate of

    fluidity in martial arts

    gotta be fluid with transitions

    very important

you cant be like sitting there thinking while he's striking lol

  • *martial artists

  • its more like introducing the art so ppl know wad aikido is roughly abt, if one is really interested, he can choose to go to a real dojo. and these videos serves as a refresher also, even martial arts may forget some fundamentals, so these videos are pretty useful

  • many people might be against me for this but i think anyone should be able to do any technique without having to go to another, this is because the techniques do not depend on situation but unfortunetly we do when we arent very good at aikido. Aikido is more principal then it is technique , its not like a dictionary or even in language you see you cant use dictionary to speak you supplement it in aikido we suplement with training but in a real situation one would have to use principal and apply
