I wonder if the Yellowstone eruption is what the movie and book "The Road" is telling the story of the aftermath of. This is the toughest disaster scenario besides a worldwide nuclear holocaust in my opinion. The toughest survivable one would be a better way to put it. Famine, huge climate change that would even drastically affect people who can farm n hunt. Killing and consuming the few surviving animals would go quickly then no chance to recover n humans are one of the few things left to eat.

I do wonder if this eruption could cause faults and volcanoes around the entire country to become active. I've heard recent theories about domino effects where activity in one fault system triggers activity in faults hundreds of miles away. It definitely would add to the devastation.

There's actually a documentary movie about this, called Supervolcano, made by the BBC. This movie shows what will happen 'in reallife' when Yellowstone has a supereruption. This movie is based on scientific facts. It's a very good movie! Like the narrator in this clip says: it's not question of IF, but HOW and WHEN Yellowstone will erupt.

I believe that we will survive this tragedy when the day comes. I mean think about it. 75,000 years ago the same thing happened but on a slightly bigger scale and there weren't that many humans on earth back then. and it wiped out the humans to the point where there were only a few thousand left. But look at today. There are MANY more humans on earth today. We are more educated and more advanced in technology. on a BIG scale too. I believe it will be tough at first, but we will get by eventually

Why are people so worried about this. If it erupts then it erupts and that's life. Pray it doesn't but if it does then hold on to your loved ones and pray for mercy.
