sooo... you are suggesting to throw away all already existing chargers and buy your charger? You also have to notice that more than 50% of this 1 billion phones will be LOW END phones for poor and old people who don't use computers. And what does it mean to me to have 10mpx camera, gps, charger etc. when it isn't 1 device??? If I needed that I would rather buy a cheap phone with good battery, camera and mp3. Good luck with your invention 'cause it's not that revolutionary to became a reality

I think you should present it to big companies, like Nokia.. That's the only chance to have a similar idea to reach the market.
I believe the proposed open hardware "bus" system will still have to wait very long: in fact there is no standard architecture for a generic "device". For the PCs.. it is derived from the standard Von Neumann one.. Maybe in the long run, everything will be equivalent to a PC.
Yes but the problem is the adapter at the power end of the charger is different for almost every phone. This is the part that needs to be common. Further once you have one, you don't need to buy another...ever.

Thanks, actually it does not make the phone any bigger. On the nokia version used here, it does not take up any extra space, but fits flush within the phone body. Also the physical size of male usb ports can be much thiner and still work, this example is used to make it really easy to see.
