I love your video series, made my conversion to wet shaving a lot less painful and a heck of a lot more enjoyable. I store my active blades in a container of isopropyl alchol and I've found that they keep sharp for twice as long as just air drying. According to some message boards seems like the minerals in tap water tend to rough out air dried blades. Your thoughts.
I don't know if you already covered this but when a blade becomes dull, do you just throw it away in the garbage or is there a way to recycle them. It's a bit sad to know that it becomes scrap metal in a landfill. So yeah, my question is: how do you dispose of your blades?
I'm asking because I discovered wet shaving while talking with my mom lol? I have my shaving brush and soap but I'm still using a mach3 razor and I'm considering a Single-Blade because of your videos.
Of course it can go higher, but for a good shave you need an extremely sharp blade if you don't want to risk cutting you. After 6-8 shaves, a blade may Have lost that extreme sharpness it needs.
My father tells me stories of how his father, and grandfather used to hone the blades in a glass with water, and toothpaste. I guess having survived the Great Depression, they were taught to be very very frugal.
