I've just started learning ISL and these videos are such a help! Searching the web and finding pictures are fine but sometimes it's not quite clear so these are very handy. Just a quick question, (and I feel very silly just asking), do females use the female version and males use the male version, or does it depend on who you're talking to or perhaps the context as in French and some other languages? Thanks for all your help.

@Crline108 Hello. Deepest apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Good news, if you just sign the male version all the time, people will understand you anyway. 50 years or so ago signing in Ireland was very much divided along gender lines, but now, people use a mixture of both male and female signs. I have seen some women trying to revive the use of female signs, as part of their heritage.
