Mad Season is a collaboration between Alice In Chains lead man Layne Staley, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Barrett Martin of Screaming Trees, and John Baker Saunders. The band was made when Pearl Jam where in the middle of making the album Vitalogy. Mike McCready Meet John Baker Saunders whilst in rehab. They Started to jam and McCready decided to bring in Layne Staley in the hope that he would stay sober if he was with people who where sober.
