As Sir Terry Wogan summed up in his commentary: "The final song ... of the century."
And what a way to end.
It was also the last 'simple' Eurovision. After this it became all shouty, over-reacting audiences in big arenas and the purpose of the contest - to find the best song - was lost forever in a tumultuous sea of political voting, screaming performances and over-hyped entries.

yes i even voted twice for this,but 2 be honest 1999 was th last good eurovision its has being goiing down hill since then:(
