In 1992 Photographer Lee Tepley and snorkler Lisa Costello enteree the water with a group of Pilot whales about 8 miles off shore from Kealakakua bay, Hawaii. Lisa started to pet a curious Pilot whale. Shortly afterwards, Lisa was taken under water by the same whale and almost drowned. Lee Tepley recorded most of this event on 16 mm. film. It has been uploaded to YouTube many times - mostly in violation of copyright. Lee Tepley was fined $10,000 for harassing PIlot whales. The charge was dismisseed after a 3 year legal battle

@kriton1986 You are exactly right. Eventhough this video is 2 or 3 years old, but whales are very beautiful animals. And there are trained people that are hired to go out to film these animals. But for individuals like you and me, we don't go out to film these animals. Eventhough whales are beautiful animals, but just like any animal, they can become very startled very easily.

@AlexKamakura Oh shut up! Curiosity can kill when its a wild animal vs a human. It doesnt matter what it was! You want to preserve these wonderful animals? Then we shouldn't dismiss their actions as curiosity, but make sure these stupid fucks like "Lisa" stay out of their fucking world! There is no fucking reason a human being should be in the middle of the ocean petting a fucking whale!
