Jimmer 2.0: Dantley Walker, UNLV Signee, 2011

Dantley Walker, UNLV's newest signee in 2011. Will, most likely, be going on an LDS mission for 2 years and will be joining the 2013 team. Dantley, named after a hero of his dad's and former Utah Jazz great, and NBA Hall of Famer Adrian Dantley, is the Record holder in the state of Nevada for three pointers made, assists, most points in a game, and now the highest scorer ever in the state for his career.

Okay, just so you know, I'm not calling him "Jimmer 2.0" because he's white and good....I'm saying he's the "next Jimmer" because he plays just like him. Crafty drives to the basketball, pull up jumper from ANYWHERE, ballhandling looks similary, he's got a funny/original first name like Jimmer...hell, he's even mormon and his defense is even somewhat Jimmer-esque...lol.... So, look out America, some time between 2013 and 2017 (he'll be on an LDS mission until 2013), take a peak at UNLV for Jimmer 2.0....or Dantley 1.0

More proof that Walker is legit is that Rice was hired after Kruger and left, and 2 days later he told Walker he had scholarship-that was with Utah St. waiting in the wings if UNLV reniged. So here's two big time D1 coaches that both wanted him. Do the jealous punks who didn't get offers, that are posting on here, have both Kruger and Rice offer scholarships? Boy can shoot and pass. Two things the Rebs need badly. How will they guard Walker and Reinhardt on the perimiter. Lights out baby!

Here's the thing. He didn't play at a big high school but he played against them in Vegas and averaged over 30 ppg against 4A schools. He also started on the Las Vegas Prospects and Utah Select AAU teams and played all over the West for 4 years. Kruger gave him the scholarship offer first and he accepted. He was also being recruited by Byu, Utah st, Montana St,, Santa Barbara, Colorado St and many others. It looked like he was going to Utah St when UNLV suddenly offered. He'll play a great PG!

To the haters....ALSO, realize that this was his junior year of HS....he improved his game a lot his Senior year....I just don't get hating on him. Dave Rice recruited him to BYU, and loved his game...Dave drove from Provo to Lincoln HS more than a few times to catch him play....so, let's not pretend the guy was nothing to look at.

You're only reasoning is he played in 2A....that's stupid....because he's from a small town he's no good? I guess, what I would expect, is that if a REALLY good player is from a small town, he better be putting up HUGE numbers.....and, well....he did put up HUGE numbers....in HS and AAU
