1996: Cross Country Mountain biking makes its debut in the summer Olympic games in Atlanta as one of the most successful new competition ever.

2008: Beijing: Olympic mountain biking rises to new heights with the most technical course ever to apear in the Olympics to date.

2012: London: Mountain biking is silently removed from the Olympics and is replaced with a newer, more intense and momre competitive sport guaranteed to challange and amaze!

This track is precisely why the "MTB Event" will be eventually eliminated from the Olympics... The beauty and progression of the sport lies within the bike technology and the varied terrain they are designed for, NOT smooth rolling terrain with a few rocks thrown in to make it look cool. Straightaways, climbs and switchbacks are fine, but include drops, steep technical rock gardens, jumps, berms, sand, mud, water crossings, etc. Make a course designed for a dual suspension mountain bike!

No me parece acertado el haber diseñado una pista a tan alto costo, entiendo que quedará para la práctica cotidiana de paseos en bicicleta, pero respetando las diversas opiniones y habiendo practicado MTB XC y Free Ride, esta pista es poco técnica por más exigente que resulte en el plano físico, que les costó llevar el circuito a un escenario más natural, claro en otro lugar no hubiesen podido controlar las entradas para los espectadores, en lo que a costo se refiere.
