@patrinrom if you are chiseling for very long time do you dip it in some water after each use when reheating, becuase that might help.

please dress your tools. that mushroom on your chisel heads and hammer faces are a breeding ground for sharp ballistic chips to shoot off in your face. and they are razor sharp. i got laid open by a mushroom head on a spike by barely touching it once. so be safe! and enjoy your grinder!

I think I would have cleaned up the rust on my tools before starting this video, makes me ask are you a craftsman, as far as your chisels try dipping them in some water as you use them Oh wait they where in water the rust told me that well anyway good video

actually, the reason your chisels don't last is because they are cold chisels and wood chisels. Those won't last very long. You need hot chisels. You can check out Blacksmith Depot or Centaur Forge. They're pretty inexpensive about $10 for a chisel.

@Ginyru I have a couple of those and they do work well altough the ones I got were from a local supplier and about $20.

just a word here nearly all the tools in this video were bought a couple days before i shot this video so yes they are rusted. this video was to show ppl a good start for collecting the tools and as i always say you make due with what you have on hand.

ok in your vids i keep seeing the hammer type thing that has a point on one end and a flat like chisle on the other what is that?

yes i have a set of specialty chiseles I have made that work very well. The focus of this video was tool for someone begining who doesnt know how to make those tools yet.
