I hold 5 or 6 men as the most true and genius people of all times. But somehow beethoven seems to be always a little higher, a little further, a little more able to touch the truth more than anyone else. This "little more" in the apocalyptic scale of life is often a LOT more. Beethovens music can reach and pull the unprepared good willing listener directly into the depths of his microcosm. Beethoven is constantly whispering to us "come with me I will show you." You just feel his friend.

Beethoven was beyond far beyond of his times, even today, Beethoven is the immortal.
His music is deep touching the deepest of our soul and the performance by Karajan is on of the best ever. !!!Excelent!!!

I just heard this 2 days ago for the first time, And it's very rare, but I already replayed it like 6 times. I've been listening to the Edgemont overture for so long, man I've been missing out.
