Welcome aboard Metrobus Orion VII CNG #2603 operating on Route 38B from Downtown Washington to Ballston Orange Line Metro via Georgetown and Roslyn. 2603 is one of 115 CNG Orions that use Cummins ISC Gas Plus while the last 100 employ John Deere Engines. .

  • Man this sounds exactly like Southwest Transit's 2003 Gillig Phantoms with ISL and Voith. I wonder if they might actually have ISC instead...

  • No, they sound simliar. It's just that ISC was largely restricted to CNG buses. ISL took over as Cummins main CNG line in 2007

  • question: I ride metrobus daily, and have always wondered what that gulping sound is that happens every time the driver lifts off the accelerator. I assume it's something to do with the transmission...
