@Warismyfuture villagers into assassins. He was believed to have commanded his own personal army of 1300 soldiers, he was also annointed as a demi-god. In Afghanistan and Iraq, before the war on terror even started, the CIA got the SASR to conduct reconnaissance missions to gather intel on Al Qaeda and the Taliban. The reasons that were stated why they chose the SASR were that they are one of the most efficient SF in the world, the best in recon and better than the American SF

@Warismyfuture Pfft, we all know that the Aussie SASR is the best. It is evident in the fact that the CIA has sent the SASR on missions before the wars even started. In Vietnam, the CIA sent an Australian Army soldier with Special Forces training (presumably SASR) named Barry Petersen to train a local village to disrupt the viet cong. I have alot of respect for the SAS. To me they are surely in the top 3 best SF in the world. However me being an American i have to stick with my Delta, Seals, Rangers, AF Pararescue and Force Recon. Much respect from the USA!

from the evidence seen in Afghanistan, we've lost 200 normal soldiers vs the Taliban loosing about 200,000-ish.
So to them, our basic soldiers are elite, so the SAS must be like a God compared to a Taliban soldier.
