http://www.TheBoaters.TV EP 37 (Please subscribe & rate!) - First up today, there are numerous project currently underway to conquer the world's waterways with solar-powered vessels.

"The Loon," a 20-foot pontoon boat topped by a custom 738 solar panel, is the world's first commercially-available solar-powered recreational vessel.

Developed by Monte Gisborne, "The Loon" is available for purchase through Gisborne's own Tamarack Lake Electric Boat Company, in Orillia, Ontario Canada: http://www.tamarackelectricboats.com

Next, the Swiss-made catamaran "Sun21," a 46-ft long solar electric-powered catamaran, undertook the first motorized trans-Atlantic crossing using solar power only.

The "Sun21" arrived in New York City on May 8th, 2007, having covered about 7000 sea miles: http://www.transatlantic21.org

Also visit their YouTube channel with video from the crossing: http://www.youtube.com/transatlantic21

A great website to learn about folding kayaks is http://www.FoldingKayaks.org , where you'll find a forum and resources.

We feature a charming video from Aaron Tinling over at http://www.Navagear.com demonstrating the assembly of a 20-year-old Klepper folding kayak. Quite the father and son activity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhxlAruSyMQ

Here is another video we found on YouTube of two adults assembling their Klepper Kodiak. They say it took them around 25 minutes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDF-axyxM7I

Finally today, blogger Adam Turinas over at the "Messing About in Sailboats" blog ( http://MessingAboutInBoats.Typepad.com recently conducted a poll where he asked readers to submit their favorite sailing songs. Adam has compiled and posted the Top 10 Results.

  • Wow jackdach, you're a weird one.

You have all gospel music on your youtube site as if you were a God fearing Christian.

And here you are leaving an obscene comment.

A real Christian would never do anything like that.

You really should apologise to this young lady.
