For those wondering what it's about. Try listen to it as a conversation between someone losing faith and god/jesus.
Of course the symbolism of religion goes hand in hand with that of love or even war, I find many strung out songs can be viewed in all 3 perspectives, and it can really change your view of a song when you listen to it with a different meaning in mind.

@vandalsluvr for some reason i feel that it is about miscommunication, but not necessarily in a relationship. i see alot of references to the fact that people consider retaining their opinions intact and trying to convince others of them, but dont see why it is necessarily about a relationship

In my opinion its about the perspective of a potential lover. These two people are missing the link of communication, and if they would just get it out, things would go good between them and perhaps a relationship could ensue. Because they are holding back, neither one of them will get anywhere with the "relationship".

So your saying it's about two people who like eachother but won't say anything to each other and therefore they can't get anywhere cause there both too shy to tell the other person? hmm that actually makes a lot of sense....Nice job on that one ! :]

Thanks! Yeah, I think thats what its about. Mostly due to the fact that he keeps making mention of their future (Dont let me down i gotta know
if something good could grow out on this rock) and (a silhouette of you and me
just negetive space and time) I chalk it up to personal experience. A true "song of miscommunication" if there ever was one.
