But she isn't bashing the circumstance, you're missing the point. Single mothers are being celebrated modern heroes. Like she said, there's so many films, movies, documents, articles praising just single mothers as opposed to mothers in general, as if they're doing a better job than anyone. Yet the statistics show the opposite, that overall, a single-parent child as opposed to a two-parent child doesn't do as well academically, financially, emotionally, psychologically, etc. That's the facts.

I think you're missing the point that Ann IS bashing mothers who were brave enough to have a child by themselves after their baby's father left them. I think her stats are legit, but her entire argument was lost on me when she began to criticize mothers for choosing to have a child and placing no blame on the man. I've also never seen press on single parents doing a better job raising their kids. Often times they're portrayed in a very negative way.

Ann Coulter sometimes, and I repeat sometimes, makes logical sense, however because she presents her information in a negative way she is dismissed.

My boss once said that it's not the way that info is presented but the message that counts...I think, in an ideal world that might work but most humans react to how the message is presented.

She may not sell as many books calming her 'act' down so ppl will listen but if she wants people to take her seriously she must do just that.

single mothers are terrible at raising kids. kids need an authority figure that they can take seriously.

I dont want to take from the government. RIght now the government is taking from the middle class which is causing rampants poverty in single parent families. Why cant you comprehend that people have the right to split if they want to. you cant force two people to stay together. if you give custody to the mother as a society, you have to help her look after the kid. end.

@convictPKlol hey, i dont defend deadbeat dads, but that woman made the choice for herself to be with him unless she was a rape victim, in which case the kid should go to an adoption clinic. perhaps i misinterpreted your statement to haute03 "why not just improve care of single parents via the government and let people split if they chose to?" part of my criticism is that although you argue semantics as a front, your underlying intentions are to take from the government. correct me if im wrong

I never said throw money at them. you are missing the point, single mothers are poor because their husbands arent supporting them and its hard to have a high maintenance job while raising kids.
