  • Wow. There is a thing in music call playing within the instruments capabilities and not splatting the notes like the sousaphones did there!!!!!! A big fat round sound is the best sound !!!

  • Why wait so long to play. My schools band literally plays it right as the game clock ends

  • @mustang20XII Cool!

  • @MrObenauer Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps

  • @mustang20XII That's cool, I'm sure I'll have a chance to march a different style in a performance group sooner or later, but the college I go to doesn't have a band program and I'm busy enough between school and work the way it is. What drum corps are you playing with?

  • @MrObenauer yeah i think when it comes to marching ensembles ive done it or experimented with just about it all. ive done east coast show style, southern or "SWAC" style marching bands, im finishing up a season of drum corps as we speak, and ive done corps style marching band

  • @mustang20XII That's cool, I appreciate a variety of music in general, and when it comes to marching bands I enjoy everything from fife and drum to southern show style. I really like the "dance and swing" style, but that is all I have ever marched, so I might exhibit a little favoritism even though I try to learn about all the different styles.

  • @MrObenauer its ok. i didnt really switch over. i picked up sax first kuz i wanted to play jazz. then got to marching band and wanted to be heard so i picked up baritone. the rest just kinda followed up for fun. but ill check it out. im a lover of all music from down south brass bands to symphonic ensembles to drum & bugle corps so yeah lol

  • @mustang20XII If you'd like to check out the Allen East Mustang Marching Brass there are some YouTube videos, but it's an unrefined dance and swing group, so if parts being "dirty" will bother you it's not your cup of tea. I am a fellow woodwind switch-over my concert instrument was oboe and I played snare drum and later quads when I marched. Sorry for my mislead excitement over your YouTube user name.

  • @MrObenauer uuh something like that lol. i play Brass and Saxophone. i march Baritone but we dont play the Horse in Parades
